With the EITC program, Pennsylvania allows a small number of taxpayers to pay their state income taxes locally to Venango Region Catholic School, as financial aid to lower income students, and we are hoping to get some new taxpayers in for our school

Regular Monthly Club Board of Directors Meeting

Oil City and Franklin Rotary Clubs will be having a Project Work Day on June 10th @ Two-Mile Run County Park from 10:00AM - 2:00PM.

We will be staining a pavilion, planting grass seed, assembling picnic tables and more! So please dress appropriately :)

Water will be provided, however if you would like to bring a drink or dish to share, please indicate what you'll be bringing in the Comments section of your registration.

Please register if planning to attend so we have an accurate head count!

Wear your Rotary gear and come cheer on our Rotary Little League Team as they go up against the Kiwanis Team!

AFTER THE GAME:
In the pavilion - Franklin Rotary & Kiwanis Clubs will be providing food and icecream to the members of Both Teams to celebrate and recognize the young athletes.

Volunteer at the 8th Annual Blues & BBQ Festival.  We sell tee shirts, water, and soda.  This event is held in Bandstand Park, Franklin, PA. Hours are on Saturday, June 17th from Noon until 9 PM and on Sunday, June 18th, from Noon until 7 PM. 

The Franklin Fine Arts Council (FFAC) will be hosting an Ice Cream Social on 12th Street for the kiddos directly following the parade at 11:30AM. 

The FFAC has asked Franklin Rotary Club for 3 volunteers to help them with this event! Volunteers should arrive/be ready to begin at 11:30am and should be all done by no later than 1:30pm.

Rotary tailgate party and baseball game: Pirates vs San Francisco Giants
Saturday July 15, 2023     |     Cost per person  $35.00

INCLUDES:

Taillage dinner, food and drinks, playing pickleball and cornhole during tailgate party, in parking lot Gold 1A, under the overpass, ticket to the game,

IUP pre-game reception. Each ticket includes tailgate dinner and drinks, a co-branded Pirates/IUP bucket hat and access to a pregame happy hour in the Left Field Lounge and one complimentary drink ticket. A portion of each ticket will be donated back to Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Bring chairs and sneakers.

TIMING:

Tailgate 4:00pm - 6:00pm ish.  Parking Gold 1A. Easy to find right in front of the stadium, General Robinson way and Tony Dorsett Way. Yellow balloons will be marking us under the overpass in the northeast section of the lot.Gold 1A, You can arrive from 3:00pm on.

IUP stadium reception Left Field Lounge -  6:00pm

Game time 7:05pm

REGISTER: Let Big Mike know how many tickets you want as he will reserve the block tickets.  Please respond by June 1, 2023. 

BRING: Please bring your own folding chair to sit in. If you would like to bring your own / something specific to drink please do so! If you have Corn-Hole or other safe 'yard' games, please bring them along :) If you have any questions, please ask Corey

Kristen will tell us how their agency was successful in getting a dog park in Titusville! 

Plan for a highway cleanup on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 8:00am.  We will gather at the Sleepy Hollow Golf Course parking lot, farthest away from the clubhouse.  Safety vests, gloves, and garbage bags are provided.  The event will be weather permitting and you will be notified asap if a change/cancellation should become necessary.  The cleanup usually can be completed within 90 minutes.  The walk is approximately a total of one mile and fairly level, even terrain.  Good footwear is always recommended.  

Franklin Rotary Club's Annual Awards Picnic will begin at 2:00pm, followed by Oil City Rotary joining us at 3:00pm for the dedication ceremony and celebration of our Rotary Pavilion project at Two Mile Run County Park.

To get started, work with a local social service organization or with local government officials to learn what your community needs and how you can plan the most effective project.

Tell your neighbors — and us — about your joint service project by sending out a news release, posting on social media with #CelebrateCommunity, and adding the project to Rotary Showcase. 

We can do more when we work together. Let’s harness the collective power of our four organizations’ 3.4 million members and Celebrate Community together.

John A. Marshall was born in Wittier, California, and moved to Pennsylvania in 1965 where he grew up in Wexford.  John is the father of 4 grown children: John is 42, Shannon is 40, Shavonne is 36 and Angela his adopted daughter is 35; and Grandfather to 10 Grandchildren – 8 boys and 2 girls.

John became a Paul Harris Society Member in 2015 and a Major Donor in 2019.  Just recently in 2022, as it has become available, also became a Polio Plus Society Member.

John is also very involved in his community.  In 2008 he became the Richland Township Supervisor and is currently serving on the Northen Regional Police Board. He also enjoys being a Mason and a Shriner.

Anyone who knows John may know that next to serving his community, his great passion is his Catering business which has been growing since 2000.  You may not know that in what spare time is left he enjoys fishing, is a season ticket holder for both the Penguins and the Steelers and his constant companion is George  - his Cockapoo.

Rotarians will be putting up our Holiday decorations / welcome sign in Bandstand Park.

Franklin Rotary Club will be joining Franklin Kiwanis Club for the annual Join Thanksgiving celebration. Rotarians will be meeting at the Kiwanis' location at 12 noon. Please register in advance by November 10th.
