Jon Bernstein wrote the screenplay for Disney's MEET THE ROBINSONS, which received a Heartland Award and was named a Truly Moving Picture.  He also wrote the screenplays BEAUTIFUL (starring Minnie Driver, directed by Sally Field) and RINGMASTER (starring Jerry Springer). He has written screenplays for Disney, Paramount, 20th Century Fox and DreamWorks, and has written original television series for the CW and NBC-Universal. His screenplay TRAVELING WITHOUT BAGGAGE is currently set-up with The Wolper Organization. He wrote and directed the stage musicals McCREADY, THE BLUNDERS and SHOWCASE. As an entrepreneur in Los Angeles, Jon started the murder mystery company Suspenseful Moments, which later became the theme party company Life of the Party. He produced hundreds of live events featuring custom-designed entertainment. Jon teaches Screenwriting and Creative Writing with the UCLA Extension Writers' Program, and was named the 2017 Outstanding Instructor of the Year. He has also taught at the Creative Writing conservatory at the Orange County School of the Arts, and River Oaks Academy. He passionately believes in the value of taking a fun, nurturing and creative approach to education. He spent years looking for a venue to combine all of his passions -- events, live entertainment and education. After looking at a wide variety of properties across the country, he found a historic mansion on a commercially zoned property with 24 wooded acres overlooking the Allegheny River in Northwest PA. This beautiful and unique property had an auditorium, restaurant and lodging for over one hundred guests. Seeing an opportunity he couldn't pass up, he bought it in December, 2021, and Wildcat was born.
