Say Hello to August, which is Rotary Membership Month. I received an email yesterday from the District Membership Chair, she is encouraging all clubs to invite members to share their "Rotary Story." If you have not done so yet please remember to send Jodi your WHY ROTARY information to share on our Facebook page. Everyone is encouraged to submit to Jodi a photo of yourself, along with a few sentences. Feel free to include; who you are, why did you choose to join Franklin Rotary, what is your favorite part of Rotary, what opportunities are important to you? Simply send a few sentences on your story. Long-time members, new members, all of you have a unique Rotary message to share on why you joined Rotary. Perhaps your story will spark interest in others to join our club, increasing membership and the positive impacts we make locally, within the District and throughout the world. If you have any questions please contact Jodi or I anytime.
The 2nd Annual Kayak Float and Picnic was a great event on Saturday. The day started out cool, then the sun shined through the clouds, offering a spectacular day to be on the river. The float ended at Candy and Jack Conner's house in Brandon, about 10 miles south of Franklin. There was plenty of food, fellowship and laughter! The Connor's are welcoming hosts, it was a perfect ending to a pretty day. There are several pictures on the Franklin Rotary Club Facebook page. Check them out.
Zach Covington will be our speaker at this week's Rotary Club Member meeting. He will be joining us in-person. We look forward to having him back with us. His program will provide a brief history on the Franklin Rotary Club Bell, along with the history of our 4 Way Test. It will be interesting, interactive, educational and fun :)
Remember to please send Jodi your RSVP if you plan to attend this week's meeting at Buffalo Street Lanes; email to jodi@franklinareachamber.org . The Homegrown Kitchen will be providing catering services.
