PRESIDENT'S NOTE
Dear Rotary Family,
Enjoying the fall leaves changing colors is one of my favorite things about living in Western PA. More than that is the excitement that comes to town each year with the Applefest traditions!
This week, although we will not be having a regular weekly meeting, we will be kicking up the events with our 5th Tuesday event at 5:00 pm at Creekside Granite in Reno, where we will enjoy fellowship, an evening gathering where we will label our Apple Butter to be sold next weekend at Applefest. We will be serving walking tacos for dinner, so please come hungry and bring your favorite beverage. ( Spiked Apple Cider sounds like a great option ;0) )
The Apple Butter has been picked up and delivered to my office, thanks to Dr. Mark and Dr. Dan. I teased them that it was retired doctors' day, and they both enjoyed their drive to Saegertown to complete that part of our mission for us! Thanks, Docs! Also, Dr. Mark had better not ever plan to retire because we all need a Dentist!
If you have not done so already, please make sure to go to Club Runner and sign up for your shifts at Applefest, including Apple Butter Sales, parking Lot Shifts, and the Dog Park Information Booth. All of these are equally important to our mission and our projects, so please make yourself available to volunteer.
Take a look at the awesome money tracker that Dr. Gammello created to track our progress on the fundraising efforts for the Dog Park! Thanks, Dr. Mark, this is fantastic~
Be sure to participate in our September Pop Up Project to collect food items for the Franklin High School Caring Closet! Please bring your final donations to the 5th Tuesday event next week, and we will make sure those donations make it to FHS next week! Thank you all for your donations!
Enjoy every minute of the day you are given,
Jessica
