PHF Awards Ceremony - March 18, 2023
Paul Harris Fellow - Who, What, How
Who was Paul Harris?
Paul P. Harris was the founder of Rotary in February of 1905

What is a Paul Harris Fellow?
The Paul Harris Fellow award designation was created in 1957 to recognize individuals who contribute, or have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation.

How to earn a Paul Harris Fellow?
You can make donations to The Rotary Foundation at any time, in any amount, Online (click here) or in-person at any regular Club Meeting. You may also signup for "Rotary Direct" to have a predetermined amount automatically donated to Rotary Foundation on a recurring basis of your choice. Once the total donations made by you / in your name reach $1,000 a PHF is awarded.

First Time PHF - District 7280 Incentive
Currently, a generous Rotarian from our District's Cranberry Club, offers to match Rotary Foundation donations made by members working to earn their First PHF. This means, if you donate $500 to the Rotary Foundation, He will match that for a total donation of $1,000 - earning you your first PHF! Click here to contact me for additional info or assistance

What are Paul Harris Fellow Points?
The purpose of foundation points is to allow Rotarians a means to recognize/reward individuals who exemplify the values of Rotary and who demonstrate Service Above Self, or have made a distinct positive impact in our Club or Community.

How are Points earned?
Any time you make a donation to The Rotary Foundation, you are awarded 1 point for every $1 donated.
So, once you earn your first Paul Harris Fellow you will have 1,000 points
How are Points used?
Points cannot be used on ones self. Points allow Members the ability to recognize fellow Rotarians for their efforts, by donating a specific amount of your points which helps them towards earning their Paul Harris Fellow. Donated points count as 1point-$1

Where to find out how much I've donated and how many points I have?
The easiest way is to simply Contact Jessica or Corey, who can provide the information quickly. Or you can visit the Rotary International Website, log in and locate the information there.
Cereal Challenge - Victory Elementary
Frankin Rotary Club members were excited to partner with Victory Elementary students this year on their Cereal Challenge for the "Random Acts of Kindness Week." The students collected over 1.000 boxes of cereal to be donated to food panty locations, to support backpack programs and caring closets. Fantastic! 💛💙

As is Rotary - We had FUN while also learning to be better club leaders!
THIS is amazing...

Just for perspective - our District #7280 has 43 Clubs and we were able to raise $21,175 for ShelterBox
District #7360 has 84 Clubs (which's twice our size).. and LOOK how close we (#7280) were to "winning" the bragging rights. In my opinion, we won LOL

This was for a good cause and I must note that any and all 'competitions' are just for FUN, because we're all grounded in gratitude for the Impact we have collectively.

Franklin, Oil City, & Titusville Clubs partnered up to donate $500 each totaling $1,500 for ShelterBox
We will receive a tracking number that allows us to see where our "box" ends up and the individual lives directly impacted by our donation.
